Ahhhh, the sun is shining, the boats are cruising down the canal, the water… the sea air….
Close your eyes and Key West or your favorite Caribbean getaway are here on the Nautical Mile in Freeport. Landshark has made it their mission to give you that waterfront STAYCATION experience. For some, Landshark is a family-friendly eatery. For others it represents a late-night hot spot.
The vibrant dining room, serves as a destination for diners stopping in for romantic evenings, a quick bite, or celebrating milestones with friends and family. Upon arrival, a line of outdoor tables, beginning on the ground level and extending to an upper deck, offers dining al fresco with views of the water. Colorful tablecloths, watercolor paintings and tropical plants give off an island vibe. The dining room’s newly built maple wood bar completes the vacation atmosphere.
The menu, featuring local bounty when available, is the creation of renowned chef, John Brill. Landshark’s “Sharkfin Starters” include Coconut shrimp served with Bacardi coconut rum sauce; Szechuan calamari and daily raw bar specials. Executive Chef Justin Magistro’s “Chef Specialties” include: Maple mustard glazed Pacific Salmon; Grilled Aioli Swordfish; Shrimp & Scallops Scampi; Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp; Grilled Chicken Milanese topped with tomato, red onion and fresh mozzarella bruschetta. Brill’s signature style, which serves as a healthier alternative, can be found in the “Simply Grilled” section with items such as salmon, swordfish, ahi tuna, diver scallops, jumbo shrimp, rib eye steak, filet mignon and lobster. “Sharkwiches” served with homemade fries, include: Homemade Lobster roll; Crab cake burger; “Sharkburger in Paradise” Also included on the menu are fresh salads and mussel pots.
The drink selection of over 20 specialty cocktails includes the signature “Shark Bite Punch”, “Berry Mojito” “Shark Bite” “Pomegranate Flirtini” and Landshark’s famous SoCo Sangria and Finlandia Mango Vanilla White Sangria.
Parents love the $8 kid’s meals. Customers appreciate the new gluten-free menu. Decadent homemade desserts such as a strawberry shortcake, zeppoles, fried oreos , cannolis, crème brulee and flourless chocolate torte are a fun way to end the meal.
Both the restaurant and tiki bar have captured the limelight since opening this spring. Parrot Heads are rejoicing. So is everyone else, for that matter. The tropical oasis is literally a melting pot of old and young alike—gathering to enjoy the food, fun and overall laid-back atmosphere.
