As you embark on Egypt, the Land of the Pharaohs, you’ll be astonished by Giza Plateau and its absolutely breathtaking pyramids. Cheops, the largest, took 10,000 workers more than 20 years to construct. Southeast of the Great Pyramids is the Sphinx. Carved out of natural rock in about 2650 BC, the magnificent monument with the head of the Pharaoh and the body of a lion is sure to leave you mesmerized. Spend the afternoon at the Egyptian Museum of the Antiquities viewing exquisite artifacts of King Tutankhamen’s tomb, and do a little shopping at Khan El Khalili Bazaar.

A morning flight will bring you to Luxor ancient Thebes, where you will embark on a Nile Cruise Ship for the next four nights. Your days will be spent exploring the East Bank of the Nile, including the Temple of Luxor, the Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings. You’ll also visit Deir El Bahri and the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Later, set sail to Edfu crossing the Esna Lock.

The next day begins with a horse and carriage ride to the magnificently preserved temple of Edfu. Later, sail on to Kom Ombo, a city that became prosperous when the temple in the Ptolemaic era was built and divided into two symmetrical halves. The left side is dedicated to the falcon-headed god, “Heroeris,” and the right side to the crocodile god, “Sobek.”

Finally, you’ll arrive in Aswan where the ship will be docked for two days. Not only will you take a motorboat ride to Philae Temple, but you can also visit Aswan’s High Damn, Granite Quarries and Unfinished Obelisk. You also won’t want to miss Kitchener’s Island with its beautiful gardens. The evening ends with a Nubian Dance Party on the cruise ship.
